Meet Our Community Connections Team!  

Morgan Duffy (She/Her), Community Resource Coordinator. As the CRC, Morgan provides services through the Resident Opportunities Self Sufficiency (ROSS) grant by assisting BHA program participants in achieving their economic opportunity goals. She also works at connecting them to organizations with training, job placement and other opportunities to increase earned income while reducing their dependency on public assistance and rental subsidies. Morgan works with private, non-profit organizations, and government entities to promote strategies within the residential community to ensure the best use of public and private resources for supportive services and resident empowerment activities.

Kris Landon (He/Him), Family Self-Sufficiency/Special Programs Coordinator. As the FSS Coordinator, Kris works with HUD-assisted families to increase their earned income and/or financial opportunities, reduce dependency on governmental social programs, and promote advancement in their overall economic self-sufficiency. He provides case management for program participants, conducts need assessments, provides referrals to relevant services and trainings, processes certifications, and coaches participants toward individual goal achievement. In addition to FSS, Kris also oversees and operates multiple temporary/short-term rental assistance programs within Bremerton Housing Authority.

Kristafer Whitcher, Family Self-Sufficiency/Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing/Family Navigator. As the FSS Coordinator, Kristafer works with HUD-assisted families with last names M-Z to increase their earned income and/or financial opportunities, reduce dependency on governmental social programs, and promote advancement in their overall economic self-sufficiency. He provides case management for program participants, conducts need assessments, provides referrals to relevant services and trainings, processes certifications, and coaches participants toward individual goal achievement. In addition to FSS, Kristafer is a housing specialist for BHA’s VASH program. The VASH program is a joint program between the VA and HUD. The goal of the VASH program is to move homeless veterans into supported housing. There are two components of this program: First is case management services provided by the VA and the second is the subsidized housing piece that Kristafer provides. These VASH vouchers make it possible for veterans to afford privately owned rental housing in the community of the veteran's choice. **Referrals for VASH vouchers come from the VA at American Lake to BHA** Finally, Kristafer is BHA’s Family Navigator. This role is still being outlined.
